Who we are

MJC Engineering & Technology, Inc. ("MJC", "we") operates mjcengineering.com. This policy explains what personal information we collect through our website, how we use it, and the choices you have. Our address is 15401 Assembly Ln, Huntington Beach, CA 92649, USA.

Information we collect

  • What you give us: when you fill in a form, request a quote or sign up for news, your name, company, email, phone number, and the details you provide about your part, machine or inquiry.
  • Files you upload: any sketch, photo or document you attach to a form.
  • Basic website data: our website host automatically records standard information such as your IP address, browser type, the pages you visit and when.

How we use it

We use your information only to:

  • respond to your inquiry and provide quotes, service or support
  • keep a record of our business relationship with you
  • send occasional company news, if you signed up for it (you can unsubscribe at any time)
  • keep our website working and secure
  • show our ads to people who may be interested in our machines, and measure how well they work

We do not sell your personal information. Our use of Google Ads, described below, may count as “sharing” for targeted advertising under California law, and you can opt out of it.

Who we share it with

We share information only with service providers that help us run our business, and only for that purpose:

  • Squarespace: hosts our website and forms
  • Google: website analytics (Google Analytics) and advertising (Google Ads)
  • Mothernode: our customer relationship management (CRM) system, where we keep inquiries and contact details
  • Visibility Corporation (“Visibility”): our business management (ERP) system, where we keep quotes, orders and service records

We may also disclose information when required by law, or to protect our rights and the security of our systems.

Drawings and controlled technical data

Please do not send ITAR-controlled technical data or Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) through this website. Once an NDA is in place, we will arrange a secure transfer.

Cookies, analytics and advertising

Our website uses cookies it needs to work. We also use two Google services that set their own cookies:

  • Google Analytics helps us understand how visitors use the site.
  • Google Ads measures which of our ads lead to visits and inquiries, and may show our ads to people who have visited our site.

Google handles this information under its own privacy policy, and explains how it uses data from sites like ours here. You can turn off personalized ads in My Ad Center, and opt out of Google Analytics with Google’s browser add-on. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though some parts of the site may then not work.

Retention and security

We keep your information for as long as we need it for the purposes above and for our business records, then delete it. We use reasonable safeguards to protect it, but no website or online service is completely secure.

Links and social media

Our website links to other sites and to our social media pages, such as LinkedIn. Those sites have their own privacy policies, and we are not responsible for how they handle your information.

Children

Our website is for business customers. It is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

Your choices and rights

You can ask us to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, or to stop sending you emails. You can also opt out of personalized advertising as described under “Cookies, analytics and advertising”. Depending on where you live (for example, California or the EU), you may have additional rights under local privacy laws. We may need to confirm your identity before acting on a request, and we will not treat you differently for making one.
